Still no joy; I beyond me how MSFT plans on selling this service with the problems encountered. This is nuts! I created an unlicensed Admin account - note my username here has changed cuz of the user deletion. I deleted all users in the NEWCOMP.COM domain. I changed the default domain to NEWCOMPCOM.ONMICROSOFT.COM. I attempted to delete NEWCOMP.COM from the Office365 environment. I STILL responds with words to the effect, "can't delete cuz of email or Lync....etc.etc.etc"; except now IE 9 crashes and restarts. I only other recourse in mind is to add another domain (NEWCOMP2.COM) to Office365 and then attempt to delele NEWCOMP.COM; then add and verify NEWCOMP.COM. I would go with Google's business services but for a number of hazy reasons, I can't for now. BTW, all the dns services for both domains reside happly at GoDaddy.
I sincerely appreciate your input mchv2.0, but if I paid for P1 I don't consider it "beta". I guess my age is showing. Another question. When I paid for the single user P1 account, I was directed to a completely different web page design set which by the way leads to some confusion regarding just where in the "sign-up" process the user resides. I'm still PO's about the lack of clarity in the "Preview" edition. One doesn't know what they are d/l are paying/not paying for. The cloud service idea is OK and quite obviously the way-of-the-future, especially for start-up small companies. But this is ridiculous. I've been on this for at least 12 hours, and that's a conservative estimate.
Anyway, thanks for your interest and response. If you have any other suggestions i'm willing to try just about anything reasonable at this point. Perhaps I just need to buy the "plan" that offers telephone support, but I'm so angry right now I'm ready to throw MSFT in the waste bin.
