When I first set up Exchange online for our company I set it to use my own name servers and then added the correct MX records and stuff myself.
We are having issues with email not being delivered due to the SMTP banner not matching (PTR issues) but these are not present with our test domain that is managed by the Microsoft name servers (ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com/ns2.bdm.microsoftonline.com).
I changed the NS records for our main domain but Exchange Online settings don't pick up that they are managing it.
I want to move out name server stuff to Microsoft and then add in our records for the website there but I can't get the office 365 control panel to recognise that it is responsible for the DNS stuff.
Any advice?
