Do have anyidea how many password enabled software program Microsoft make, why not make it that SQL server id's work, or Azure, or CRM, or InTune the list goes on and on. So Microsoft picked one thing, available to all, and went with that.
Also if you work for a large company, itis not an issue as you sign-in to their domain and server, and they would have SSO set-up, and they would own the PC. But what about the average small company, do you want all your employees using the company ID to sign-in at home, and thus exposing the companies records to the rest of the family or who ever happens to be in the home. And look at some of the services the ID is used for, and thus tracked, you really want your company name used that way. And lets not even mention what happens when a company closes or lets an employee go, oops now what, that was the way they got on to their machine at home.
So it is one more password, thats all.
