Migrating DNS from Office365 back to GoDaddy

We are using GoDaddy as our hosting provider and I migrated our DNS to Office365 this weekend.  After attempting the steps to point from GoDaddy's DNS to Office365, we were running into too many resolution issues, so I allowed Office365 to take over the DNS.

After migrating, I discovered that we cannot add second level domains (e.g. support.ourdomain.com) to the Small Business Premium version, so I have to either upgrade to an Enterprise account just to add a couple of pointers or migrate back to GoDaddy's DNS where I can control those records.  Since it does not make sense for us to pay that much extra per account for a couple of DNS pointers, we are moving back.

So, here is my question...

If I change the nameservers to point back to GoDaddy, while the DNS is propagating, as long as the entries are correct at both Office365 and GoDaddy, will we have trouble with email?  Meaning, if a server has not replicated and the DNS records on that node still point to the right exchange server on Office365, will Office365's DNS conflict?  In my mind, if a server receives the request, but has not propagated the DNS update, as long as the Exchange server name has not changed, even if it is the old pointer, it should still work, but I don't know if DNSes can conflict like that.

Also, I see lots of instructions for how to migrate TO Office365 DNSes, but I can't seem to find anything to migrate AWAY from it.  Like, where do I enter the DNS entries for GoDaddy into Office365?  I know where to enter them at GoDaddy.

Please advise.

Thanks!
