Based on your description, I'd like to confirm the following things;
1. Which Office 365 Plan are you using now?
2. Is there any error message when users access 'eventionlive.com'? If yes, please capture screen shot for further troubleshooting the issue.

I can access the website via both 'www.eventionlive.com' and 'eventionlive.com'. They all work well.

I suggest you check the users’ Browser or network.
