5.1.2 - Bad destination host 'Multiple DNS queries were attempted and failed: DNS Hard Error looking up ms27600839.msv1.invalid.outlook.com (A): NXDomain'
Where to start? IS this an error in the auto set-up in the DNS?
Cheers
M
Hi Vehltor,
For your Question 1, I suggest you refer to ‘Create DNS records at myhosting.com for Office 365’ via http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-enterprises/9626b760-48a0-4cc2-ae7c-c723dc9e2eea#Find
For your Question 2, you need to create either a TXT or a MX record, but not creating both for verifying domain in office 365.
Thanks
Edward Qu
I am half way there,
I did roll back the process:
1) change back the name servers at my domain provider (mywebhost.no)
2) then do it the right way at the domain provider
3) now pointing the domain servers of fusen.no to ns1(and 2).bdm.microsoftonline.com
now I wait for it to work properly.
to ping fusen.no (the domain I try to get into my user at thetuv.no) is still not working, and to viewdns.info show that there are still issues. I worry ..
(office365 say it must take 72h to get it working)
Still being optimistic, and I hope it will work soon and within the 72h (although the 72h are more or less there already..).
Thank you for the help. If you have other ideas I will listen carefully.
Hi tctuv,
Thanks for your update.
If you have any question, please feel free to feedback .

I am facing some problems when configuring outlook.
Outlook cannot find the Office365 Servers... and i cannot find anywhere the name of the servers so that i can configure it manually.
Can some one please provide me the records and respective ip adresses so that Outlook can find automatically or manually the configurations?

Hi Phil,

To narrow down the issue and find the root cause of the problem, firstly, I would like to confirm the detailed issue scenarios on your side:
1) With the team site accessing issue, can others from your company accessing the team site at this point, or your team site cannot be accessed at all?
2) If your team site cannot be accessed some times, can the problem be specified to particular computers or particular users?
3) For the secured libraries, can them be accessed with any users in your company or cannot be accessed anymore?
For the team site accessing problem, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1, If you are still facing the “An unexpected error has occurred” error, please try to clear the cache and cookies of your browser, and see if there is any improvement.
2, Beside click Team Site link on the top of Office 365 portal, please type your domain name (http://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/) in the browser, login and check if your team site can be accessed.
3, In addition, I suggest you check the Storage Metrics of your account: In Office 365 portal, click Admin on the top, click Manage team sites under Team sites and documents, click Go to top level site settings, click Storage Metrics under Site Collection Administration.
Any updates and captures of error messages are appreciated.

Hi Minwood,
Based on the error message, I'd like to confirm the following things,
1. Are you using Office 365 P plan?
2. How long have you changed the name server? I suggest you wait for 36 hours and check again.
Thanks,
Edward Qu

Hi Jacky,
The plan we have is Microsoft Office 365 Plan P1 for all of our users including the administrator account which is the account i am using to upload the external contacts.
Evan
Once again I do not see any of you fine people reading the other posts on this thread. I have attempted all that you have said and would like to access manage team sites but I receive error messages. Is their something that the named site owner needs to do to re-establish the two administrator's access to their function?
I
The users with problems (Two admins) were told to delete their accounts and re-create them. This reeked havoc with our e-mail and calendars.

We have cleared tie cache and even attempted access with a different browser and computers and still have issues.
All your suggestions have been attempted so we need this resolved by your support team. We have no IT department as we are a small business.
One more comment. I attempeted to follow thes instructions In addition, I suggest you check the Storage Metrics of your account: In Office 365 portal, click Admin on the top, click Manage team sites under Team sites and documents, click Go to top level site settings, click Storage Metrics under Site Collection Administration.
I signed in as our site owner. I could get to manage team sites but could not find "top level site settings". We are a P1 user, does that have an impact?
I also looked at a list of libraries with special permissions. I could not access any of these libraries using any of the three administrators accounts. One of the admins is the site account owner.
Please help
Hi Audrone,
Thanks for posting here.
I realize you are using Small Businesses for Office 365, and you encountered 404 not found issue when you clicked the “Edit website” button on the Admin page.
Based on the situation, I would like to confirm with you about the following things to help us narrow down the issue.
1. Could you access your team site? If so, please check if you can access the edit page directly by manually typing the URL in Internet Explorer browser: append the URL of your site with /Pages/Forms/AllItems.aspx, for example, youdomain/Page/Forms/AllItems.aspx.
2. Did other admins encounter the same issue or just special one?
3. Whether the issue occured on other machines or just special one?
It will be nice if you can post screenshot about the error message here.
Thanks,
Maggie Li
