I uninstalled and re-installed 32 bit Office and still have the same issues. I also more information on other problems as well.
I am having issues with Windows 7 and 8 computers not being able to open Office documents, Word, Excel, etc... from our Office 365 SharePoint. I am running IE 10 and it doesn't state whether or not it is 64 bit. I had 64 bit Office installed but un-installed it and installed the 32 bit version to try to fix this issue with no luck. The error I get is:
To open this workbook, your computer must have a version of Microsoft Excel installed and your Web browser must support opening files directly from the browser.
I also have a problem when trying to import an excel sheet from the portal into a custom list and am getting this error:
The list cannot be imported because a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible spreadsheet application is not installed or is not compatible with your browser.
This is ridiculous since these are all Microsoft products and the Office was downloaded with the subscription and it doesn't work. I am very displeased.
