Hi Everyone:
I have been struggling with this for some time now. Any guidance appreciated.
A P1 account. Microsft is not hosting the DNS or nameservers.
We've set up an Exchange service for abc.com. We've redirected the MX from Network Solutions DNS as per Microsoft intructions and email for users@abc.com is flowing into the accounts.
The customer has a second domain: def.com. In his existing 2003 in-house server setup we simply pointed the MX records to the in-house Exchange 2003 IP and added an SMTP record to his user. He could now receive email sent to hisemail@def.com into hisemail@abc inbox. At least I think that's how we did that <G>.
So we then set up the mx records for def.com as per Microsoft instructions to point to the abc.com account. We also added the def.com domain to Office 365 Exchange setup.
Email sent to hisemail@def.com bounces back from postmaster@abc.com as undeliverable. So it seems to be getting to the correct exchnage account (abc.com) but I'm obviously missing a step here someplace. There is no SMTP address add dialog in O365. What's the trick??
Thanks!
