365 doesn't really offer dns management so don't use it. Leave domain parked at GD and add all your records there. The whacky 356 nameserver routine is only meant to assist those who don't want to touch dns records but it actually creates more problems and confusion than it solves.
If you intend on using the 365 public web site, ping the default domain to get the ip address for the A record. It usually takes 10-15 minutes for everything to resolve - not 72 hours ,
