Re: Point "at sign" (@) to a host name rather than an IP address

Hi,

I was just using mywebsite.com as an example... I don't own that domain.

I understand that an A record can only be associated with an IP address.

Let me rephrase it (again, using mywebsite.com as an example): since there is no "URL redirect" option in office365.com's DNS manager, how can I have "@" (which, as I'm sure you know, represents the root of the domain: http://mywebsite.com) go to http://www.mywebsite.com without hardcoding an IP address over which I have NO control?
