Re: Not able to access TeamSite after domain name change

If that url is wrong when you hover over it, you can try resetting the teamsite/sitepages/home.aspx as the home page by editing the page. You could also try changing the domain back to the .sharepoint.com one, and then back again to your own domain to see if that takes. Failing that you may have to reset the entire site collection back to definition.

"The New Office 365" Small Biz Plan

According to the Office Blog, there's a "New Office 365" Small Biz Plan coming that includes Office with it, etc. What I do not understand is how will this affect current Office 365 P plan users? Will we be automatically upgraded to it or how will it work?

Thanks!

I thought about that as well but I checked the inbox rules on both OWA and the Outlook client but there are not any rules defined..

Hi otwcaravan,

Thank you for update.

Based on your reply, I understand the error message occurred when signing in to your MOP (Microsoft Online Portal) page.

This issue may be caused by following reasons:

1. Internet Explorer Settings.
You can refer to the following steps to narrow down the issue.
a. Clear all cache files of Internet Explorer, such as cookies and browsing data.
b. Open IE and click "Tools"-->"Internet Options"-->"Security"-->"Trusted Sites"-->click "sites" and add:  https://*.sharepoint.com/ and https://*.microsoftonline.com/
c. Restart Internet Explorer, and try again.
d. Please make sure the Office 365 account ID and password are correct.

Moreover, I would like to suggest you try to log in to MOP via other web-browsers to see if it works.

2. Domain name may be incorrect

If you have verified your own domain and users have been using the verified domain, your login ID changes too. The "username@domain.onmicrosoft.com" will no longer work and you have to use the verified domain like "username@domain.com".

Thanks,
Allen Zhang

add domain with redelegating

I have added my domain to office 365, but I don't want to move the dns management to office 365.  I have read the article

Add your domain to Office 365 without redirecting your name server records to Office 365

and have added the appropriate dns records.  My email appears to be working fine which is great, but I can't seem to finalize the add domain process.  I am stuck on the last step which seems to be requiring me to change my name servers for the domain.  I have to click on the button "Done, go check" which seems to check if I have changed my name servers for the domain which I am not doing.  I can't seem to finalize without finishing this step and if I don't finalize I can't add additional domains.

Hi richard,

If the Default Reply Address is set to Automatic, the reply address will match the address that the original message was sent to.

You can also choose which email address will be filled in the From field.

If you’re using Outlook Web App (OWA), you can select the address by clicking the From button. If you cannot see the From field, please click Options, and then select the checkbox Show From.

If you’re using Outlook client, you can also select the From address.

Thanks,
Young Yang

I think you can try deleting the domain you have added, and re-add it. After you finish the step 1 then click cancel.

Hi Tom,

I suggest you delete and re-add the domain.

You can refer to this link: onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../jj655392.aspx

Note: After your domain is verified, click Cancel in the Add a domain wizard.

Don’t continue to the page where you update your name server records to point to Office 365 name servers. Instead, configure the DNS records at your DNS hosting provider.

@Adsdf thanks for your useful information.

Thanks,

Jerry Cen

Hi Bod,

Based on current situation, please reset the user’s password as soon as possible at first.

Secondly, check whether or not grant another user “full access” permission for this mailbox:
1.Connect to Exchange Online via powershell: http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc546278.aspx
2.Run command below to check permissions on this mailbox.
Get-MailboxPermission -Identity <Mailbox ID 1> | Format-List
3. Remove “FullAccess” permission from the mailbox.
Remove-MailboxPermission -Identity 'UserBeingGrantedPermission' -User 'UserWhoseMailboxIsBeingConfigured' -AccessRights 'FullAccess'
-InheritanceType 'All'

Thirdly, check your antivirus software’s quarantines or disable antivirus software to monitor mailbox.

Thanks,
Jacky Ding

Hi benlo,

Have you tried the steps provided by Nancy?
We recommend you to enter all your trial accounts to check if the domain has been deleted. If the Office 365 accounts cannot be accessible, you can contact our Contact Support since it is related to billing or subscription.

Re: Unable to access Office 365 site via mobile device

Hi weegingerbean,

To access SharePoint site collection (note: the public-facing website and the team site belong to a site collection in Small businesses for Office 365) in Office 365 via mobile devices, there is a good workaround to add “?mobile=1” at the end the URL on mobile devices. Please try to change “?mobile=0” to “?mobile=1” to see if any progresses.

You can see this description on the site settings page under Site Information.

Thanks,
Maggie Li

Re: Unable to access Office 365 site via mobile device

Hi Maggie,

Thank you for your reply. I cleared the cache on my phone last night and this morning and tried the suggested Mobile site URL (/?Mobile=1) and it did not work. However, mobile=0 DOES work.

Site Information

Site URL:

www.insidedrumcliffe.org

Mobile Site URL:

www.insidedrumcliffe.org

I did not adjust any back-end settings and we have always been able to use the traditional Site URL to access the site on our phones. I received a call yesterday from a user that this is no longer the case. Is this a known Office 365 issue? We have many people trying to access the site from their mobile phones and while I can provide the workaround URL, this is definitely not ideal and will cause a great deal of confusion.

Any advice/suggestions/fixes?

Thanks.

Colleen

I should have told you that I have tried to delete the domain but it won't allow me, because it says it is my primary domain (or something like that).

Re: Couple of questions

I was finally able to get this to work on a Windows 7 computer... it was failing on my Windows 8 box.

Send as does not work smoothly... it is just as hard to send as it was to set it up (powershell, really?).

But to even "send as" you have to click on options, then pick "show from".  There is no option to always show the from.    Gmail has a simple drop down menu on From and you pick the person you want to send as.  Also, in gmail, if you reply to a message sent to your "send as" email, that same email will be the "from" if you reply.  In office 365, that is not true... if you reply, you have to manually add the send as again.

"Send as" is very difficult to setup and use.  I sometimes wish Microsoft would focus on making one thing great... but we have office 365, outlook.com and hotmail.com... and now all of these email apps in Windows 8.  None of them work properly for my needs (great if they work for you).

I'm stuck with gmail and I don't even like google.
