How do I make my Notes Folder private?

Re: Questions on changing our O365 plan

Hi Christian,

In regard to the issue, you can use PowerShell to transfer the account info from P Plan to E Plan, for details, please try the steps below:

  1. Configure PowerShell for Office 365.
  2. Type in “Get-MsolUser | Export-Csv ‘file path’” after you connect PowerShell to Office 365 with the P plan account, when it’s done, find the .csv file in the file path(i.e. C:\userinfo.csv), modify the columns in the file to meet the bulk import request. For details about the columns, please refer to: Add multiple users with bulk import.
  3. Then you can either import the .csv file via MOP(Microsoft Online Portal) or PowerShell. for MOP, you can refer to the link in step 2. For PowerShell, you can refer can we create multiple user at a time using PowerShell cmdlets to modify the script and run it in PowerShell with the E Plan account.

Please note this will only import the user info, for the contents in Exchange Online and SharePoint Online, you’ll need back up the files in P Plan, then import them to E Plan.

Message when I sign in...

When I log into Office 365 I get a message and I'm not sure why.

The message says "Continue setting up apexptwellness.com."

It has me at Step 2 which is "Setup Office 365 and keep your website where it's hosted today."

It then asks me to call the company that hosts my website to get my IP address.

I'm confused.  Why do I need to do this?  My e-mail and website work fine with apexptwellness.com.  If I don't do these steps will I lose access??

Thanks,

Brooke

Hi Perry,

I understand you would like to add a second domain to Office 365. However, you are required to point Name Server records to Office 365, and cannot skip step 5 in Add a domain wizard.

Given this situation, I suggest you temporarily point your first domain’s Name Server records to Office 365 to complete the wizard of adding the first domain, and then you can re-point the first domain’s Name Server records back to previous addresses.

After you complete above process, you will be able to add the second domain.

Thanks,
Jacky Ding

Re: Multiple meeting requests being sent without permission

Hi Conor,

Before moving on, I want to confirm the issue is that everyone will send a meeting request to all the users in this meeting automatically when the meeting has been scheduled.

If this is the case, to help resolve the issue, I want to collect the following information:

1.Does the issue appear in Outlook or OWA(Outlook Web App)?

2.Does the issue appear when a specific user send a meeting request or all the users send meeting requests?

Additionally, please check if there are some transport rules or policy rules to make the issue appears.

Thanks,
Linda Wang

Hi Martijn,

According to your description, I have checked the domain name you provided. I haven’t found the TXT record or MX record for verify.

I want to confirm whether you have verified the domain or not.

If the DNS record can’t take effect, I suggest you ask for the help from your DNS hosting support.

Thanks,

Jason Jiang

Hi Jill,

I’d like to confirm if you meant by the Notes from your email account. If yes, the Notes folder can only be accessed by yourself if you don’t get others access permission to it.

Thanks,

Kent Gu

Goodmorning Jason,

I have verified the domain and i can see it in 365 as well. Later i did a reset because there was also information of my local server still in the dns. Now i want to put the records in my dns as shown in my previes mail.

My hosting company says they can not give support on 365 questions.

I want to change the dns settings but it does not look the same as the information 365 gives me.

greetings,

Martijn Lentjes

Hi Brooke,

Before moving on, I want to confirm some information first:

1. Were you running the custom domain setup wizzard?
2. Before you encounter this issue, did you change some configuration about the domain?

In addition, could you please provide the screenshot about this issue for the further troubleshooting?

Thanks,
Eben Liu

Re: Web-Forwarding to a URL for my Hosting Company

Hi bergdoll,

As I understand it,you would like to redirect the Office 365 website to  http:\\www.mysight.com\~subdirectory.

If so,you may need some 3-rd party solutions, such as HTTP redirection, to redirect the HTTP request from your Office 365 website at the current DNS hosting provider of the custom domain.Unfortunately, these solutions are beyond the scope of our support.

I would appreciate it if someone community member could provide a solution for this issue.

Thanks,

Keats Ge

When I receive office files attached to emails, I am unable to open them. I must first save the file to my desktop before I can open the file. We use Microsoft exchange on the web for sending and receiving emails.

Hi The Quorum Initiative,

First of all, I'd like to confirm whether you cannot open All attachments in emails or some special type of files. Are these emails sent from internal users or external users?

As you said you can open these files after save them to your desktop, it indicates these attachments are sent successfully and Exchange Online service works well. Can you provide a screenshot about the error message you encountered when trying to open an attachment?

Thanks,
Bourne Zhang

 Thanks for the reply

 1.  I don't think I was running any custom setup.  I just got done with my free 6 month trial from Skykick and this message started popping up everytime I log in.

2.  I don't believe I changed any configuration about the domain.

Below is a screenshot of the error I am getting.

 .

Please help.
