Can't receive email from Kickstarter Updates

I'm receiving emails when I join a Kickstarter project or it when it finishes but not when an update occurs.


I've sent an email to Kickstarter and they said that a different server sends the updates but it would still come from no-reply@kickstarter.com which is what the other emails that I receive are sent from.

Hi strtexasam,

From your description, I suppose that you are using the website with an outside website hosting provider instead of hosting your website with Office 365. Please let me know if there is anything I have misunderstood.

If this is the case, please check if you can access the website using the IP address within your hosting provider for further troubleshooting.

Changing the primary active domain

I have an issue with the setup of our domains.

The person who set this up, created the primary domain to be ......@ourdomain.com

This was not to be used in this account. There were also other domains linked to this account that are active and the email addresses are being used. No problem with the email.

Our problem is we would, if possible, remove the one domain without losing the accounts that were associated with it. Then delete the domain name from here and have one of the other domain names to be used as the primary active account.

Hope this make sense and appreciate any help to hopefully resolve this issue.

The contact us budget and mail feature within sharepoint site was fixed. Please confirm it and feel free to post in this thread if this issue persists. I apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks for your patience and time to report it.

Hi Sam,

Do you mean you are using Office 365 for Small Business and you prefer to integrate with SBS 2011 Essential?

If so, please provide more information about requirements of the integration.

If you’d like to deploy Directory Sync, AD FS or Hybrid environment of Exchange, currently Office 365 for small business doesn’t support these features.

Thanks for your post.
The service has been restored, you may check the Service Health on the Office 365 online portal (https://portal.microsoftonline.com/ ).
To do this please click the Service Health which is on the left side of the portal.

The irony here, of course, is that the "Service Health" report exists inside the service itself. So if the service is down, you can't access this report for information. This report should be located outside of the service where it''s a publicly accessible without the requirement for authentication. That's what 37Signals does so you can always access information about the status of their services.

Hi Mr. Jan,

As I understand, you were uploading multiple documents to a folder using the Explorer view. It works fine, however, the documents are checked out after uploading. Is that right?

With the Open with Explorer feature, we can manipulate the files in the folder in Explorer, it’s ok to upload multiple files to the folder using Open with Explorer feature. The following reason can be caused the documents be checked out after uploading:
a. If you are moving or copying files to a library that requires certain file properties to be filled out, and those properties are missing, the files remain checked out to you. When you fill out the required properties, you can check in the files.
b. If you are moving or copying files to a library that requires files to be checked out, the files are initially checked out to you. You need to check the files in before other people can edit them.

To have the documents be checked in after downloading, if the above situation is meet, please change them.

I have followed those directions exactly and I have tried it 50 times.  It does not work.  Office 365 asks me to add @ ad the hostname which Melbourne IT TXT records will not accept, its an invalid hostname.  Then I tried using my domain name both with and without a period after it.  Only the one with a period would work.  I waited well over the 72 hours, no luck.  Also the TXT value 365 asks me to enter is MS=ms75607013.  After I save the record the = is removed and replaced by %3D so I get MS%3Dms75607013.  I have done it over and over and it just changes automatically.  There has to be something different I enter in the hostname and/or TXT Value fields in my Melbourne IT account.

Sudden public facing website error

My http://www.jeffpenley.com/SitePages/default.aspx is showing as normal but when trying to access my public facing site at http://www.jeffpenley.com/Pages/default.aspx I am getting the following error:

 

The base type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Spx.WebsiteCore.RootMaster' is not allowed for this page. The type is not registered as safe.

I am no pro at this but I did notice that my v4.master shows as modified this morning. This is not due to my editing. I have not edited in days. I also noticed:

 

Microsoft will be performing network maintenance in the Asia Pacific region on Sept 28 2012, beginning at 1AM UTC and completing by Sept 28, 11AM UTC.  No customer impact is expected. I am in North Carolina.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section...  or  Upload an HTML file to your site.   Those are the two choices given by Google to verify your site.  Neither seems possible with Office 365.  Looking at other webhosting solutions as this seems way more complicated than Live.

Hi Darren,

As I understand, it works fine when you send email via Exchange online, so it shouldn't be the issue of Office365. Based on current situation, I have some suggestions for you:
1. Please send email from Outlook to your Hotmail account to check if it works.
2. Please configure Outlook to connect Exchange online via exchange mode to check if the issue still persists.

In addition, OWA and Exchange online are same thing.

1) sending an email from outlook to Hotmail works fine

2) outlook is already configured to connect to exchange in exchange mode - what other way would I connect it? pop3? but what would be the point of having exchange if connecting that way

Problem must be with office 365 in some way - as this is same version of outlook I used with my 1&1 exchange server and emails with photos etc worked fine, only thing that has changed is I send via office365 exchange now rather than 1&1

Think easiest thing for me to do is cancel office365 and go back to 1&1 - despite 1&1 support being poor at least they got problems sorted - and I have a business to run and need to be able to rely on the service sending emails in the format I want

Office 365 website builder does not recognise youtube

Hi,

I am getting really frustrated with so many things about 365, mainly the website builder.

I am trying to insert a youtube video. I click on "insert" then "video". It asks me for the HTML code or URL and I paste this in from youtube http://youtu.be/cGO7PBycp8U and it simply says

 

Video service unknown. If the video service provides HTML embed
code for this video, try pasting the embed code here instead of the Web
address.

 

Can anyone help please?

rebuilt my website, verified my domains yet website doesn't work

I have rebuilt my website on the "new and improved" microsoft365 platform.  Once rebuild I verified I own the domains associated with my website. They have been verified by Microsoft.  Yet I can not get my website to appear when I type in my domain name.  What do I do to get my website back up?
