Re: R: Re: Some specific support about an email address required

Hi VDP,

I have analyzed the NDR you provided in private message.

To narrow down this issue, I’d like to collect some detailed information.

1. Was your domain virtualXXXXXX.org once verified in other email service, such as Google Apps?

2. What’s the type of the mailbox vdp@.........? user mailbox, shared mailbox, or distribution group?

3. Have you ever deleted this account and re-create it?

Based on the NDR you provided, I’d like suggest you sign in Microsoft Online Portal (MOP), please confirm this mailbox vdp@......... exists on the mailbox list at Exchange Control Panel (ECP). You can also connect PowerShell to Exchange Online, and then run get-mailbox to if you can get this mailbox in the result.

Thanks,

Young Yang

Opening document issue

Hi,

We receive a lot of Sales correspondence via email, the content of which has to be stored for audit purposes.

I have been saving the original email into specific files in Office 365 and am able to access the contents directly, but other users are unable to do this. When trying to read the content of these in  365, they only have the option to save the email to their network.

Is there a way the emails can be saved into files in 365 and the content accessible to all without having to save them?

Thank you

Janes

Hi - Sorry I did not understand why you were not replying in the private messages where we started a conversation - didnt not realise you were posting answers here ( for which I got no notification ). Anyway I transferred the domain over from Microsoft Live service & yes I am using small business version. To answer your questions:

1) My domain has three active mailboxes paul@xxxxxxxxx, huw@xxxxxxxxxx, and info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx all of which are used every day and have been verified via google mail

2) it is nothing yet. info@xxx is a general use mailbox for when people want to contact us for general enquiries, which does receive and forward mail but I cannot find it in the mailbox list yet it does work. I want vdp@xxxxxx to be exactly the same, it is not a user mailbox but a general use mailbox that is forwarded to my google mail account like the others. I don;t want to add it though until I can solve the mystery of WHERE INFO@xxxxxx IS CONFIGURED

3) it has never existed

Thanks

Issue with data connection to Sharepoint using Excel

Hi, I have a big list - with 114 columns (but 1848 bytes) - and I'm facing an ""An unexpected error has occureed. Changes to your data cannot be saved" popup when trying to open the iqy that queries the reffered list.

The list is contains single line, multi-line, number, date, lookup, yes/no and calculated fields.

I'm testing it with just one row, and no success.

When opening the same list on Access, I'm able to load all the related lists and open them, but not the main 114 columns list... getting a "The Microsoft Access database engine could not find the object <objectname>. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. If <objectname> is not a local object, check your network connection or contact the server administrator."

The object name is correct.

I'm using the P1 trial

Best regards,

Tiago

Hi Aaron,

I apologize for not responding sooner.

Alexandru's suggestion worked! I built forms using Blank Web Form. I added buttons and a search box there which were pulling data from tables from the backend. The search was connected to a query on the backend as well.

Thanks Alexandru for your suggestions.

Exactly the same problem for me also. This happened a couple of weeks ago. So frustrating, losing business, grr. To top it off my free trial is running out and getting error messages with that also when I try to subscribe. I paid real money for the transition to 365 from olsb I don't want to see that going down the drain. Really Microsoft becoming an embarasment, come on sort it out!

Hi Janes,

As your description, you want to share some emails that send to you to other users.  The emails are transferred to specific files and then stored in SharePoint Online site, you want all the users can access them directory without save them firstly. If I misunderstand, please feel free to correct me.

Moreover, do you have Office desktop application set up on end users’ computer, such as Office 2007? If so, please provide the Office desktop application version.

If this is the case, we may achieve these goal by Outlook and OneNote desktop application. Generally, we can create a OneNote file at a team site document library. Then, the email received can be sent to that OneNote file via Outlook. After that, the other users can open that OneNote file at the team site to see the those emails.

Thanks,

Eben Liu

Hi sknorth,

Thanks for you update.

If you would like to set a specific page’s permission, you need to enter the page, and click Page Permissions under Page panel to grant permissions to the target group. Detailed steps are similar to those I provided in previous post.
After changing permissions and waiting for a period for the change to propagate through all providers, would you please recommend your customer to try to enter it again to see if it works?

Thanks,

Hi Rick,

For your first question, I understand that you want to use your custom domain in your email address instead of domain name onmicrosoft.com to send emails.
Generally, if you want to use your custom domain in your Office 365 account, you should first verify and add  your custom domain in your Office 365 account.

To verify and add the domain name you want to use in your Office 365 account. For detailed steps, you can refer to :
Add your domain to Office 365
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-smallbusinesses/ff637561.aspx
After adding your custom domain name, you can do the steps below to change your email address from xxx@domain.onmicrosoft.com to xxx@yourdomain.com
Sign in your Office 365 portal -> Click Admin -> Click your company name on the left corner -> Click Edit -> Click the drop-down list to select the custom domain you want to use in the Default domain part.

In addition, you can refer to the following article to check if it corresponds to your situation.
Simple Domain Sharing for SMTP Email Addresses:  http://community.office365.com/en-us/wikis/exchange/simple-domain-sharing-for-smtp-email-addresses.aspx

For your second question, I understand that after you downloaded desktop integration app and lync app, your computer froze on startup though you have go into safe mode and  use system restore.
Based on this situation, this issue may be caused  CPU and any other issues about your system. You can go to the task manager  to check if it is caused by specific  processes. Generally, this issue is more related to Windows support.  I think Windows Forum is the best suit to help you. You can post a new thread about this issue in the forum.

I have just tried again this morning and it hasn't worked again. Can you please let us know when this is likely to be fixed as it is a very serious issue for us? Can you identify the failing data base that affected users are connecting to?

Hi Thorben,

Before moving on, I want to confirm with you first.
1. Did you create room mailbox for each meeting room in Office 365?

If you have created room mailboxes for the meeting rooms in the organization, by default, the allow conflict option is not checked. This means the room mailbox can decline the conflict by default. Meanwhile, please check the booking requests for the room mailbox is automatically accept or decline or select delegates to accept or decline.

I have a test about the meeting conflict in Outlook Web Access (OWA), select the room mailbox as the location when sending out a meeting request. My test room mailbox (Room.No1) uses automatically accept or decline booking requests. The screen shot below is my test result.

If you want to configure more setting about the room mailbox, please access the room mailbox and go to Options>see all options>Setting.
Note: You may need the full access assigned for the room mailbox to open it.

@Alexandru, thanks for your information.

Re: 1818 CallCancelled RPC proxy Testexchangeconnectivity

Hello Advensys,

Thanks for your post.

Could you please post a full screenshot of your test result?

This issue may be caused by the following issue:

(1) Does your company use Netscaler?

(2) I suspect this issue may be caused by: Exchange 2003 use the DSProxy process to access information from global catalog servers, so that  global catalog servers no longer have to be published through the RPC Proxy server.

To override this new behavior, create and set the following registry value on your back-end server that is running Exchange 2003. If this registry value is set, the RFR Service behavior will revert to the pre-SP1 method of returning a global catalog to the referral interface.

To create and to set the registry value, follow these steps:1.Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

2.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MsExchangeSA\Parameters

3.Right-click Parameters, click New, and then click DWORD Value.

New Value #1 is selected.

4.To rename this value, type Do Not Refer HTTP to DSProxy, and then press ENTER.

5.Double-click Do Not Refer HTTP to DSProxy, and then type a value other than zero (0) in the Value box. For example, type 1 in the Value box.

Note: If this registry value does not exist, you may need to manually create it.

Thanks,

Emma Li
