We'd appreciate an update of this issue. When you have time. please feel free to post the information here.
RE: W3c Compliance
Re: Access Services is unable to process the request.
Hi HEN,
Based on my understanding, you have a SharePoint Online Access database, you recently encountered "Access Services is unable to process the request” error.
Based on my experience, as you have used this database for nearly one year, the error occurred can be caused the performance problem. To test this, I suggest you create a new database using Access, and publish it to SharePoint Online, to test if you can reproduce the issue.
In addition, I suggest you check the Storage of your SharePoint Online tenant:
In your team site, click Site Actions, click Site Settings, click Go to top level site settings under Site Collection Administration; click Storage Metrics under Site Collection Administration to check the storage of your SharePoint Online tenant.
We suggest you to re-upload the database for the testing, as you are not able to do this in your situation, it’s okay not to do this testing.
Any updates, please feel free to post.
Thanks,
Evan Zhang
Re: Hostname error when adding DNS txt record at Melbourne IT for Office 365 domain verification
I found exactly the same thing when trying to TXT files to Melbourne IT. I had to ring them in the end and ask them to add manually. The problem is the queue to get there takes sometime. I tried the @ as well, and found that adding the hostname instead of the @ also works.
Re: problems on the transition form Melbourne IT to Office 365
Hi Carlos,
I have checked the DNS records of your domain, they are correct and the public facing website www.behappytours.com is also fine.
I would like to explain that the Name servers which Office 365 provided are use for hosting the DNS records, however, the Domain Service still needs to be provided by the Melbourne IT.
So you still need pay the rent for your domain.
Thanks,
Wilfred Ying
How to manage business and personal email address for custom domain?
I am in the process of transitioning my domain to Office365. I have a mixture of emaill addresses for business and personal. I would like to know how this will affect the personal addresses. There are a couple of email addresses that i use mostly as distribution (admin, info, accounting) but are not assoicated with a user. Would I be able to continue to utilize these in Office365 without having to purchase additional licenses? Also, some email addresses are ustilized by other individuals, whom will not be a user in Office365, but will need to continue to receive/send emails via their personal address. will there need to be some configuration changes on their email client software for them to continue to utilize their email address? If i need to addanother personal email address, would this be managed within Office365 or the Domain Registar?
Thank You,
Argmosys.
Re: Point "at sign" (@) to a host name rather than an IP address
I honestly don't get what's so hard to understand, maybe I'm not being clear enough.
Also, it would be a glaring omission in office365's DNS manager if there was no way to accomplish that (not sure why they don't have any URL Redirect option, only CNAME and A).
To answer your question, no. For now, I have the IP address hardcoded which is hardly an ideal solution.
Edit SPF record
I need to edit/add to my SPF record.
Questions:
Can i do this through MS365 (domain is Fully redelegated). Within MS365, I have found my way to the DNS Manager for this domain. I see i can create a New 'TXT or SPF'....
I have been instructed to 'add Email-OD.com to your SPF record that might fix the issue'.
Does anyone know how i do this.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Point "at sign" (@) to a host name rather than an IP address
Can I use other nameservers while still using Office 365 as my backend for Outlook, Sharepoint, etc...?

Using Sharepoint Designer to edit Public-Facing site
There seems to be some confusion on this subject. There are several sources, including this KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2648414
that claim "Editing the Public Website by using SharePoint Designer is not supported in Office 365"
However, several forum posts such as http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/153/p/56562/205352.aspx#205352 claim that you CAN edit with Sharepoint Designer.
Can you edit the public facing website using Sharepoint Designer? I need to correct some minor things in the code that I simply cannot correct using the limited functions of the web-based site builder.
Is there any way to upload webpages to O365?
Thanks for the help.
Use GAL for contacts
My partners and I (two brothers & a sister) use Outlook (2007 & 2010), and have the Office 365 P1 plan . We all have quite a few contacts with notes, birthdays, categories, etc. If one of us adds or modifies a contact in Outlook, then the other two will also have to add or modify that contact in Outlook. We would like to use Office 365's GAL or SharePoint, if possilble, to store all of our contacts (internal & external to our operations) and have them available to us in Outlook and our mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.). We want the power and flexibiblty of the Outlook Contacts available to us in the "cloud" or again Office 365.
First, could you please confirm our understanding that the External Contacts within Office 365 is basically the GAL, or where contacts are entered to populate the GAL? It appears that there are some serious limitations to the GAL, since there are only a few fields available. Is it just our Office 365 plan or that's just the way it is?
I have read some other posts that talk about creating some sort of SharePoint contacts database, but nothing mentions iphones or devices accessing it.
We are looking forward to hearing from somebody who has/had the same need and is familiar with mobile devices.
Thank you & best regards.
Re: Using Sharepoint Designer to edit Public-Facing site
You can edit the html code that the editor outputs in SPD's code view but so far not the underlying master page, page layouts or gadgets.
"Not supported in 365" has come to mean MSFT won't be held liable for anything you break, but I've never known them to refuse support no matter what the problem. Understandably they don't want to address custom code issues or things that aren't part of the standard tools.
You can upload web pages but to work with the public site they have to have been created in a 365 editor or the controls used have to match up perfectly with a standard page - and they have to be uploaded to the Pages library.
