Hi Neo

I restored the accounts as you suggested and renamed each one.  I am happy to report that this did the trick and all is working fine.  I have a Lync error on the gavin@bizserv.co.za saying that the name is not unique in AD but, since I don't use Lync, am happy to ignore the error for now on the assumption that AD will sort it out when all the accounts are hard deleted.

I'm having the same problems, select few users (250 users total) and about 6 or 7 users tell me their mail disappears. And I've seen it happen on one of them, just like Andrew posted above. Not a client issue, but exchange online.

As an update, I am currently looking at onelogin.com. Options up to wazoo and better price than Okta.

To reiterate, you give the O365 account a 16 digit password that you don't tell the user, and set up the SSO program (Okta, OneLogin, Ping) for 2 factor auth. The user logs in to the SSO and chooses O365 as the app.

Seems like this is finally going to work.

Hi,

 

I have a domain hosted at unoeuro.com and have changed the MX setting in the DNS to "mail.outlook.com". I'm not sure if this was a good thing to do. The domain got confirmed earlier, when doing the setup of Office 365, but since the MX setting was something like "ms30---.msv1.invalid " and I received no e-mails, I thought that this "invalid" gave problems... I searched a bit, and than found somewhere the MX setting "mail.outlook.com" - that sounded better than something with ".invalid"... but I guess I'm wrong.

 

I hope you can help with this stupid thing... Just for the record. I would like my domain to be hosted by unoeuro, but I would like to recieve and mange mails and calender etc. in Office 365.

Hi Jeannette,

According to your NDR, I resolved your domain name using the nslookup command-online tool, it indicates that you have redirected to Office 365 and the DNS records are correct.

For this situation, I recommend you to do the next steps:

1.Please send a test email to email address  csa@warrclinic.co.uk  by using other email addresses, such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail , and check whether these email addresses can receive the same NDR as you post above.

2.You can ask for help from your administrator to check  whether the sender address scryans@quadratek.net    can send emails to  csa@warrclinic.co.uk successfully.

scryans@quadratek.net is an office365 address and the user is an administrator and is not restricted?

Again can send but not recieve?

Hi Michel,

Before moving on, I’d like to clarify the following information.
1. When you say “transfer domain”, do you mean that add your custom domain to Office 365 and then verify it?
2. As you use P1 Plan, you may refer to the article below about how to add your custom domain to Office 365, you may need to add 2 name servers to your domain registrar.

Moreover, how long have you transferred your domain? The server side may take a period of time to make the changes take effect.
3. Email works but is unstable, could you please give us some detailed information for further troubleshooting? Such as send/receive email delay, can’t connect to Outlook sometimes? Or have you met any error messages?
Meanwhile, which version of Outlook client you use, you use auto configuration connect to Exchange Online?
In additional, you may login OWA (Outlook Web Access) to see if the email still has unstable problem. Furthermore, an unstable network environment may also result in this issue. Would you please check if others experience a similar issue in your organization?

Sharepoint part of office 365 for SB freezed (Team site, documents, website)

The sharepoint part is no longer working. Neither the public website part nor the Intranet part incl. documents. This happend after I tried to add an additional site in the teamsite section. 


Can I restart sharepoint somehow?

Microsoft doesn't really support moving from one Office 365 subscription to another with the same domain name.  

It can cause issues within the FOPE layer which can cause some some messages to bounce.  If you provide bounce message and message tracking information to Eric he will hopefully be able to open a ticket for you to clean it up.

Dear Eric,

The domain was first included in Office 365 subscription (VDKC.onmicrosoft.com). All domains in this subscription were migrated from BPOS some time last year,

Just one domain is moved to another Office 365 subscriotion (KleinWorks.onmicrosoft.com). The domain is verified and DNS settings are fully managed by Office 365.  The microsoftonline nameservers are setup according to Office 364 guidelines.

All this was setup 5 weeks ago and initially seems to work fine.  We did never the less go on vacation, so did not notice the inconcistency in outlook behaviour.  We are using office 2007.  Outlook has sometimes problem delivering gmail or delivers with delay.

We setup outlook using auto configuration, but outlook keeps on asking for the password.  Furthermore is the password popup also refering to the RED002.emea server, which was previous used by BPOS.

The other domain within VDKC.onmicrosoft.com works fine, but they are using Office 2010.

Hi Ariwa,

Based on your description, I would like to confirm more information:

What’s the plan do you use? The plan for Small business or Enterprise?

If you use the plan for small business, you can change the Name Server records to Office 365.

You can refer to:  onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../gg584174.aspx

If you use the plan for Enterprise, need to add DNS records to domain register. You can refer to:

onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../gg584188.aspx

If you have verified the domain correctly.  You can delete this MX record safely.

Добрый день, специалисты.


У нас развернут свой  DNS на Windows Server 2008 r2.


Верификацию своего домена провожу из модуля Online Service, выполняя командлеты из инструкции:

1. подключаюсь к Office 365. (Connect-MsolService -Credential $cred)

2. создаю домен.(New-MsolFederatedDomain -DomainName dkhodkovd.com)

2.1 Получаю инструкции по созданию dns записей TXT и MX  

3. создаю записи TXT и MX.

4. повторно выполняю команду и получаю ответ, что DNS записи не найдены - верификация домена не осуществлена.


Затем, подождав пару часов, удалил созданный домен на Office365 и создаю его же с помощью интерфейса Office 365, проверяю и тоже ошибка.


В первую очередь я хочу убедиться, что DNS записи созданы мной правильно. И Ваши рекомендации по действиям дальше.
