Hi Christian,
How are things going?

Short answer: I've decided to stay with Gmail for domains (gmail apps for business plan).
Gmail seems to be a better solution for email. Period. At least for my small business.
Powershell? Really!!!!
The way to work with alias accounts makes zero sense (two days of trying to make it work??? Google it takes two minutes). Fix this issue, and I might return.
Although, I did not try to validate my domain... last time I tried that (6 months ago), I tried for over a year and it finally worked after being on the phone with support for over an hour... he went in and fixed the issue, after "support" on this website stated it was "my issue" and "me not doing things right".
So, support at Microsoft needs to be fixed.
Case in point, when the office365 support person called, he actually raised his voice and said "that is not true, I'm looking at it right now. Do you have your browser open? Where are you?" This was after I explained to him that the instructions that he sent were wrong and the labels did not match. Then he wanted to argue about it... I hung up at that point (first time I've ever hung up on support... even the guys/gals from India I can deal with, heck, they are working a job, no issues there... this person was plain rude).
The gmail support called and basically said they will not support outlook 2013 until later. Told me I could use the browser online, thanked me for supporting google, and then said bye. No arguments, no making up stuff... much better experience.
I'm waiting for Gmail to launch the apps sync for outlook 2013.
Microsoft has pretty stuff, but the backend is so hard to deal with that most people will go someplace else... unless they are admins and want to launch this for a huge company (over 20 people). Even then, I'd be pressed to understand why they would go with Microsoft's solution, unless they are real tech "admins" and paid to support the company.
I'm just a guy looking for a simple email solution that works out of the box.
Goodafternoon Eric,
I was deleting some sites i was practising with, i think i deleted the teamsite as well.

Hi Moving_From_Gmail_For_Domains,
It is very sad to hear you have given up. As far as I know, currently Exchange Online only support to set up SendAs permission via PowerShell. If you require a GUI solution, I’d like recommend you submitting a feedback regarding to the issue. Your useful ideas and feedback will help us improve our products and service. Your time and efforts are highly appreciated.
If the service is requested frequently, the product team may include it in the future releases.
Thanks,
Kent Gu
Hi Paul,
I’d like to suggest you performing the steps in the following kb article - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2264398.
Moreover, could you please also check if the system date and time are correct?
Thanks,
Kent Gu
Hi Joe,
Before moving on, I'd like to clarify the current situation:Hi OTW,
Please try to refer to Allen’s suggestion to troubleshoot the issue, if you have any other questions, please feel free to post back in the forum. It is your pleasure to help you.
Your time and effort is appreciated.

Hi BillA,
Thanks for mchv2.0's suggestion, and I'd like to follow up on the thread to see if the issue has been resolved on your side.
Best regards,
Nancy Xie
I provided my feedback on this issue and several others issues over 12 months ago (maybe even 18 to 20 months ago) when Office 365 was in beta and again when it launched. If it takes Microsoft that long to fix issues, then I'm making the right decision.
No, it is not because it does not have a GUI. Although, a GUI matters. Why don't you make everthing in Office365 require PowerShell... heck, I'm sure we can send email via powershell. The point is that a GUI allows us to quickly do things. Bottom line is that SendAs does not work as I require (and all the time wasted trying to make it work).
Not to mention that it took me several days to even get your powershell to work! I had to go through several obscure steps and then find out it does not work on Windows 8... something is wrong.
And looking over the forum, it seems there are still issues with validating a domain for use with O365... how many hours have people wasted with that nonsensical process that Microsoft refuses to fix?
I'm sure there are other issues that I did find. Yes, I have to "give up". I have to go with a solution that works out of the box and works now. That would be gmail.
Just installed IE10. Office 365 now won't let me sign out. Also, I now can't open files in explorer, I get the same old "your client does not support opening this list.........etc" message.
I've already changed and updated the trusted sites in IE10, to no avail. These issues has just about gone away in IE9, why can't Microsoft release something that just works?
Help. Thinking about downgrading back to IE9 unless anyone has answers.
Thanks
Hi James,
Please refer to the steps below to configure your computer for Office 365:
1. Sign in to the Office 365 portal. In the right pane, under Resources, click Downloads.
2. Under Set up and configure your Office desktop apps, click Set up. The Microsoft Office 365 desktop setup tool starts.
3. Sign in using your user ID.
4. After you have selected the applications you want to configure, click Continue, review the service agreements, and then click I accept to begin installing updates and configuring desktop applications.
You can also find detailed information in the following link:
onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../ff637594.aspx
In addition, please check the Windows updates to make sure your computer has been up to date.
Moreover, if the issue persists, could you please capture the error messages and posts them here for further troubleshooting?
Thanks,
Nancy Xie
We are using our own mailadresses now: info@mycompany.com i want to keep using these when we migrate to 365 is this possible without using shared mailboxes?
Martijn Lentjes
Hi Martijn,
Do you means you want to use the old mail server to send and receive emails? If so, please refer to the following instructions.
If you are in small business subscription (P1 plan), and you want to change the MX Record to point to your old mail server. You may refer the following the link to create required DNS records to work with Office 365, http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-smallbusinesses/hh416759.aspx
If you are in enterprise plan, there is no need to change name server. You can refer the Edit DNS records for your Office 365 services part in the add domain guide for enterprise to add DNS records in your domain registrar.
If you just want to use your old domain for emails, please add your domain to Office365.
To add your domain to Office 365, you should first create a TXT or MX record in your domain registrar to verify the ownership of your domain. For the detailed information and steps, please refer to the articles below:
For Enterprise plan:
Work with domain names and DNS records in Office 365
For Professionals and small plan:
Change name server records at a domain registrar

Hi Neo,
That answers pretty much all of my questions re the licensing.
For the migration, as we'd be going from Exchange to Exchange (O365 Small Business -> Enterprise), is there not an easier way than the batch csv copy? Is there a powershell command we could use to import the data to the new mailboxes?
Obviously for 50 users, doing individual copies of the mailbox via the Outlook client is impractical.
Thanks,
Christian

Hi Phil,
Is everything working properly now? I would like to know if you need further assistance. Thanks for taking time to reply in advance.

All I want are:
Don't the above make senses and Google Apps for Small Business, Office 365's competitor, has already long provided such feature?
It looks like what is used to credit and edit documents here is actually the offline Microsoft Word, Excel etc. while what is used to share documents internally and externally is Share Point (which is very un-user-friendly and I strongly dislike i)
It would unbelievable to know that SkyDrive is not used in Office 365 Small Business
Hi Martjin,
Before moving on, I'd like to confirm whether other users in your organization can access the Team site?
