Re: Can't reach Teamsite as Admin

Hi Martijn,

Thanks for your update.

Currently, I suggest you type the Team Site full address in browser to see if you can access the Team Site. The address is http: yourdomain.sharepoint.com/teamsite by default.

Moreover, please login Microsoft Online Portal (MOP), click Users under Management in the Admin page, select the user and then click Edit, check the SharePoint Online license of the Administrator in the Licenses section. If it was not selected, select it. If it was selected, unassigned that, wait for 15 minutes, and then reassigned that to have a try.

In additional, could you please provide more detailed information about what you have delete in the team site?

Thanks,
Eric Sun

Hi Clement,

I’d like to sum up your requirement (please correct me if there is any misunderstanding or something is missing).
1. The entire SharePoint Online structure (P plan)
I have attached a diagram which might give you a basic picture of the entire SharePoint Online structure for P plan.

The SharePoint Online for P plan stands at the site collection level, which means there is only one site collection available in SharePoint Online for P plan. The top level of the entire site collection is the public facing web site. There is a default sub-site has been already created for you which is the Team Site. You can also create multiple sub-sites/pages under the top level site collection and create multiple sub-sites/pages in side of the sub-site itself. For more information please refer to SharePoint Online planning guide for Office 365 for professionals and small businesses.

2. The SharePoint permission level
Permissions enable users to access resources that they need. For example, permissions enable users to do something such as open an item in a library or create a sub site. Often, single permissions are grouped into a collection of permissions known as a “permissions level”. For example, if you want to give someone permission to read items on your site, you must also give them permission to open the page that contains the item. The Read permission level includes all the single permissions that a user has to have read items. For information, please refer to Understanding permission levels.

Hi Pablo,

Based on current situation, I suggest you re-assign the SharePoint Online license and then check if the issue still persists.

In addition, please try to manually input the Website URL in your browser to see if your site has been subscribed successfully. The default URL for Website should be http://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/.

Thanks,

Hi En-Tie,

Due to you can upload files via Open with Explorer mode without any issue, but cannot Save as files from Office 2010 via two test machines. I noticed the file state in your Upload Center is Failed. Please try to perform click Open to Resolve in the file’s Resolve menu.

In addition, I found the solution ThomasR’ provided was a third party solution that was related to fix issues in a SharePoint server on-premises environment. Based on the situation, I would like to confirm whether you are using Office SharePoint online or not?

@ThomasR, thanks for your effort and sharing the useful information.

Thanks,
Maggie Li

Hi and thanks for sending a fast reply. At first I want to tell you that I am not from the same organization as En-Tie, I only wrote to this thread because I can see that we are sharing exactly the same problem within similar environments. This is what the Upload Center looks like, "upload all" nor "Resolve" doesn't help.

I hereby confirm that I am using SharePoint through the Office 365 (P1).

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your update. It’s ok not to reassign licenses to troubleshoot the issue.

For the issue you encountered, please refer to my below suggestions:
1, Please try to access your team site through http://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/ (the domain when you signed up your tenant), see if you can access it.
2, Please create a new user, see if the user encounter the same problem.

If still no luck, I suggest you check the Service Health and Planned Maintenance Dashboard in your Office 365 portal, to see if there are some information about the issue. Actually we have some planned maintenance with SharePoint Online recently, the provisioning for your service is queued and will be available for use as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Evan Zhang

Hi Michele,

To troubleshoot this issue, I would like to confirm the following things:
1. Does the issue occur in OWA or Outlook client?
2. Whether some customizations are made at Outlook client, such as local archive or run retention policy?
Based on the current situation, I suggest you try to find these email items via search bar in Outlook client or OWA. If the email still cannot be found, please refer to the following article to check whether they are in recoverable items in OWA:
Recover Deleted Items

No verification of Domain possible with OVH

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to validate my domain (hosted @ OVH), but the publication doesn't seem to work. Does anyone had the same problem before ?

Here are the records i've added (TXT as well as MX, since TXT didn't seem to work)

(Please visit the site to view this file)

When I try to lookup these records I have the following results:

nslookup
> set type=txt
> adjugo.com
Server:195.130.130.11
Address:195.130.130.11#53

Non-authoritative answer:
adjugo.comtext = "v=spf1 a mx include:cmail1.com ?all"

> set type=mx
> adjugo.com
Server:195.130.130.11
Address:195.130.130.11#53

Non-authoritative answer:
adjugo.commail exchanger = 10 mx3.ovh.net.
adjugo.commail exchanger = 50 mx4.ovh.net.

Anyone has any clue about how to solve this ? Help would be greatly appreciated ....

I am now able to Access to the teamsite as the link is not greyed out. However you may want to check to check why it is taking so long to set it up.

Based on the above screen shot, you can see that I have fully configured and verified my domain and name servers. Your response does not address my requirement to delete the extraneous CNAME and SRV records. sip.bb2e.com etc... _sip_tls . How do I specifically delete these entries. These article do not address issues outside of www.

I have someone who is getting a bounce back on an email that was sent months ago.  The message does not show as being sent from your sent box but the bounce back showed up.

Hi Eric

Yes - resetting the license for Sharepoint seems to have fixed the problem. It is a bit of a worry that this happened but thanks for your help in resolving the issue.

Hi Vdecock,

According to your description, I have checked the domain name you provided. I haven’t found the TXT record or MX record for verify.

In general, to verify and add your custom domain to Office 365, it needs to add a TXT or MX records at your domain hosting provider. Office 365 use this created TXT or MX record to verify the ownership of your domain. Typically, it may take about 15 minutes but can take up to 72 hours for the record that you created to propagate through the DNS system.

If the DNS record can’t take effect, I suggest you ask for the help from OVH support.

For the detailed information and steps, please refer to the articles below:

For Enterprise plan:

Add your domain to Office 365

Work with domain names and DNS records in Office 365

For Professionals and small plan:

Re: Create DNS records when Office 365 doesn't host your DNS

Sorry for the delay, but I have been out traveling.

It was not so easy to delete the original domain. Even if everything looked OK in the admin page I had to use PowerShell to see that there was an undeleted SIP account as well. But finally I managed to get the domain deleted.

I then followed your steps above using PowerShell to add the domain, get txt record and finally get it verified.

...but to no success. I still get the same pictures as above. Neither DNS-manager nor Troubleshooting wizard is able to tell me the DNS records I need. :-(

Any other ideas?

Thank you for the help. However the advise to add a CNAME record to both the internal and external DNS does not work. The external DNS (Office 365) is setup as per Office 365 instructions. The internal DNS does NOT allow for adding a CNAME record for autodiscovery.outlook.com since the FQDN appends my local domain to it, namely autodiscovery.outlook.com.mydomain.local.

As far as the other advise goes we do have the latest Office 365 software and all Windows updates and Office updates have been installed.

Hi Natalie,

Right, If your SMTP domain zone is not stored in your internal DNS, it is not necessary to add an internal autodiscover record - the one in your external (public) DNS is sufficient.

Did you configure Outlook using the Desktop Setup Application, per me and Youngs advise? onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../ff637537.aspx (Resources\Download in your portal).
