verify domain
No MX record available
Hi,
I recentlty signed up for the Office 365 2013 preview, but can't get the dns records to work proberly. My custom domains status says "Verified"
Because of some technical requirements I can't redelegate my domain to microsoft, but used their tutorial to only add some dns records.
The problem is, in my dns records on portal.microsoftonline.com under the domain, the mx record row is empty:
Prompted that password will expire after setting expiry to 730 days
As partner of record within the last month I used the new password expiry change feature to change how long passwords last before expiry from 90 to 730 days. I just received an email from my client informing me that she had just seen a popup informing her that her password will expire in 5 days. This suggests that my change has not been applied. Why?
remove password expiry - Set-MSOIUser not recognized
I am the administrator for our Office365 system. For some reason Im the only person who gets the prompt that their pasword is expiring.
I'm wanting to remove my expiry to never expires but when i try to run the command in Powershell I get the error :-
The term 'Set-MsolUser' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
I dont see Set-MSOLUser or GetMSOLUser as available commands when I user the get-help * command.
Anyone know what the issue is here?

Outlook 365 inbox problems
Hi Guys

We have just experienced a problem that could potentially be disastrous for my company. The inbox of this account has just emptied itself. We have check in the web app and the online inbox is also empty. Can you please offer assistance?

Thanks, but no, it was not helpful. The instructions for DNS changes are not detailed or clear enough. For example, no where does it say to remove existing records that may be a duplicate of the new records. Also tls is in lower case with no explanation and so it looked to me like tis which is of course incorrect. I had to hire a pro to find and fix the issues. In any case, it's working. Thx.

The domain can exist only in one service. If you are using the domain together with Live domain and want to use the domain together with Office 365, you must first remove the domain from Live domain. For more detailed information, you can refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2515404

That is the problem I can't find that we using the domain with a Live domain so where i can find if it is so and how can I remove it from there?

Points to address: Office 365 mail server (for example, yourdomain-com.mail.eo.outlook.com).
Preference/Priority: 0 (or High)
TTL: 1 hour

“Set-MsolUser” is one of commands included in Microsoft Online Service module for PowerShell, before you run it, you’ll need to configure your PowerShell for Office 365 first. For details, please try the steps below:
- Configure PowerShell for Office 365
- Type in “import-module MSOnline” to import Microsoft Online Service module for PowerShell
- Type in “Connect-MsolService” to connect your account to Office 365
- Then you can run the commands for Office 365, for available cmdlets for Office 365, please refer to: Windows PowerShell cmdlets for Office 365

From your post, I'd like to confirm the following things:
1. The online inbox is empty. Could you find the emails in other folders, such as Deleted item?
2. Please check whether other folders are also empty, such as Calendar.
3. Do you set up other clients to access Office 365 account, such as mobile device or Outlook desktop application?
Under this situation, I suggest you try the following steps:
1. Log into Office 365 OWA.
2. Check if the emails are in Deleted Items.
3. If the emails are not in Deleted Items, please right click Deleted Items and select Recover Deleted Items.
4. Check if the emails are in Recover Deleted Items.

Hi Engxladso,
About password expiration policy, we can set two values in Office365, one is “Days before passwords expire”(the value is from 14 to 730 days). Another is “Days before a user is notified of password expiration”(the value is from 1 to 30 days). This policy will be applied to all users.
Please click “change now” to check the current values.
If the number of password expiration days has been changed to 730 , based on my experience, it needs to wait for some time to let the changes to take effect.

Taken from the Microsoft Customer Purchase & Support Guide for Office 365 (plan P1): " The trial subscription plan provides the full functionality of the paid subscription plan, with the following exceptions: (1) limited to 10 users for a 30-day period, and (2) you cannot point your custom domain to a trial account."

We add some APP to the public Web Site that came with Office 365 Preview (SharePoint 2013). When authenticated all APP showned perfectly but when anonymous everything shown except APP.

Hi Eric,
From your post, my understanding is the anonymous users cannot see the App Parts you inserted when visit your public-facing website.
I tried to insert App Parts to reproduce the situation. Based on my test, I found that there would be a “Recent draft not published” prompt after inserting a new App Part. If I did not click “Publish this draft”, the changes were not able to be shown by visitors, who are anonymous users.
If it is not the root cause, I will appreciate it if you can provide the details about your situation, for example, the following collections.
1. Which plan you are using, Home Preview, Small Business Preview or Enterprise Preview?
2. The detailed steps that you added the apps to your public-facing website, and which app did you add?
3. Did all apps you added cannot be shown or just special one?

To see the private message, please perform the following steps:
1. Please go to "Your details" section on the right side of the community site.
2. Click Private messages.
3. Click the subject title <Collect information> of the response to read the message.

I need to correct a couple of your comments that are wrong.
We can access our Domain website (kernowecoclean.com) ok.
The problem is with kernowecoclean.co.uk
This should be linked to the .com Domain
If you enter www.kernowecoclean.com our website appears ok.
If you enter www.kernowecoclean.co.uk you get a failure.
This is the problem.
Since we converted to Office 365 the link from kernowecoclean.co.uk TO kernowecoclean.com no longer exists.
You need to create the link again so whenever anybody types in www.kernowecoclean.co.uk they are automatically diverted to www.kernowecoclean.com
Can you please confirm that you understand what needs to be done to correct this problem and can you resolve the problem FOR MR PLEASE?
