Hi Evan-

Yes, the problem still persists!

Your assessment is partially correct - I can create a new profile and configure my account but I cannot "send" email - even though the dialogue box indicated the send process completed - my test emails were not sent, nor recieved with my other accounts with which I tested.

And, concerning your remark that "the possible root cause I can think is that you haven’t check the “Remember my credentials” box when the dialogue promotes" and

If you read my previous posts, I wrote in my first post and several times since that I checked the “Remember my credentials” prompt when entering my password.  When I enter my password I always check the “Remember my credentials” prompt - of course!  I  entered my password and checked the “Remember my credentials” prompt each and every time at least 100 or more times during in the process of executing all the many variations of your suggested diagnostics and solutions during the 72  hours prior to sending my last 2 posts.

Over the past 3 weeks + I have entered my password and checked the box perhaps 1000 times at the “Remember my credentials” prompt - and that is not an exaggeration. I assure you that is not the problem! I intend no disrespect, but it is very frustrating to have spent many hours recreating and documenting for you the many processes I had already done previously but which you requested documentation copies, so I painstakingly recreated and documented them - only to have you ignore the details and suggest such a simplistic, but erroneous diagnosis; as well as fail to answer any of my questions.

I respectfully request you and your most able colleagues to please review my 2 prior posts thoroughly and respond as soon as possible with your best efforts at an intelligent diagnosis, answer my questions and propose an effective solution and/or course of action for me to resolve this insane problem immediately.

Thank you again,

Ken

Hi Dave,

Based on your description, I understand that your Office 365 mailbox has stopped receiving email.

Before moving on, I would like to confirm more information.

1) Could you check size of the mailbox. If it's approach 25G, it might be causes for this issue.

2) Check whether other internal users (users that are in the same Office 365 tenant) encounter the same issue.

3) Check whether internal emails (email between the users that are in the same Office 365 tenant) work well.

4) Please get the full NDR and post it in the forum.

Meanwhile, if you have an enterprise subscription of Office 365, you can also refer to steps below to check the rules/filters in FOPE for your organization.

1. Logon MOP with the global administrator.

2. Choose Admin > Exchange Online, Click Manage.

3. Choose Mail Control. You should be able to see the hyper link of FOPE.

You can refer to this link: technet.microsoft.com/.../ff715254.aspx

Re: ADD COMPANY'S DOMAIN NAME TO OFFICE 365

Hi gstyl,

Thank Mch’s involvement on this case first.

As I understand, you want to move website pages to Office 365 when adding a custom domain to Office 365.

For the first question:

Moving website hosting won’t move the web page contents automatically. As Mch mentioned, you need to rebuild the website if you want to host web pages on Office 365.

As for the second question:

Yes, you can add custom domain to Office 365 and continue to host your public-facing website with your current hosting provider. For more information, you can refer to Move your email to Office 365 and keep your current public-facing website.

Thanks,

Allen Sun

Hi Dave,
Before moving on, I would like to confirm the detailed information about this issue.
1 If you set MX record point to Office 365 in registrar or you point the name server to Office365?
2 Does “A record is blocked by spamhaus.” mean when the office 365 user send email to other email system, NDR returned with the error message?
At this situation, could you please provided your domain information and NDR report for us to troubleshoot? I have sent message as Private Message to you and you can reply it.

To see the private message:
1. Please go to "Your details" section on the right side of the community site.
2. Click Private messages.
3. Click the subject title <Please provide the information> of the response to read the message.

Thanks

Hi PBD,

As I understand, you have set up Office 365 account through Outlook client on two computers. One of you computers can pull emails and update emails correctly, however, another computer can’t receive new emails. Am I right?

It’s ok to host your domain at other provider and use Office 365 services, generally, this will not cause any problems. In your situation, the problem should be caused the Outlook connection issue on your second computer.

Regarding to the problem, at first, I’d like to clarify the following details:
1, Can you send and receive emails with OWA (Outlook Web App) properly?
2, Have you tried to click on Send/Receive on your second computer, does any error occurs?

If error occurs when you click on Send/Receive icon in Outlook client, then, please try to fix the connection by doing the following:
In Outlook client, click File, click Account Settings and select Account settings; select your Office 365 account, click Repair, follow the wizard to try fix the issue.

If the error still persists, I suggest try to reconfigure your Office 365 account in Outlook client on your second computer to see if the problem can be fixed. You may refer to Connect Outlook to This Account.

For question two:
To invite external users to SharePoint Online, you can refer to Share a site with external users. To have specify external user to view specify information, you can do this by break the inherit of the website and then invite the user at the specify website.

Thanks,
Evan Zhang

I don't even know how to use this Windows PowerShell. I thought the point of a small business cloud based solution was to make this self manageable? We don't have an IT department to do this kind of work. Why can't MS add an option in the Administrative panel to make these kind of changes instead of making non IT people try to become programmers? Administration of this solution is often very cumbersome and not intuitive (:

Alan, et al-

Regarding using the Office 365 Set up tool at that webpage, if that is what you are referring to - The short answer is yes, I used it to set up my Office 365 subscription when I started the service in April-May. I also tried running it again during this process of trying to correct this password issue with my desktop Outlook 2010, and as I recall it completed but it did not seem to help.

That said - what specifically would you recommend that I do with it? Since I've already got my profile, etc...?  This relates to my questions in my earlier post asking if I can/should delete or disable/uninstall my Office 365 setup and reinstall it - and is that advisable or will it just confuse matters?

As I've expressed this seemingly simple problem is confounding me and I cannot seem to fiind the resource(s) to properly diagnose and resolve the issue(s).  If you can give me any specific directions in these regards, please do.

Thanks,

Ken

Urgent Request -

Will someone please answer this question ( which I have asked in earlier posts, but not yet received an answer):

Should I attempt to resolve my problem by resetting my password - again - using the procedure described at this Office365help page?:

Reset your administrator password (for Microsoft Office 365 for professionals and small businesses) at

onlinehelp.microsoft.com/.../gg192871.aspx

As I explained earlier - I have only reset my password the one time after I was informed that my password had expired (without any prior notice from Office 365 or Outlook...).  I used the above procedure, having a new temp password emailed to me, then a mobile text code, if I recall... the process appeared to work as it should for access via the web app and my Android and iPad mobile devices, but not for my desktop Outlook 2010 Professional Plus....

So again - given my situation - is it advisable to again reset my password as above, to try to resolve the issue with Outlook desktop, or is it likely to just complicate matters?

If someone will please advise me on this or any other solution ASAP - I will be extremely grateful!

Thanks again,

Ken
