Re: Redirection of a subdomain
Hi Peter,
I understand you want to create a A record or URL redirection record to redirect your sub-domain to format IP site.
Before moving on, I'd like clarify that, what office365 plan are you using now?
If you are using office365 P plan, to add/verify sub-domain to Office365 is unavailable in Office365 Plan P at this time.
If you are using office365 E plan, you can add/verify sub-domain in your current
custom domain. If you want to redirect your sub-domain to a format IP site, you can contact your domain register to help you add a URL redirection record in the control panel of your sub-domain.
Thanks,
Luke Yan
Re: Remote WIPE Email not entire iPhone
Hi Mucci,
I understand those users want to be able to wipe the mail account off their iPhone, however no erase everything on the phone when they leave.
If so, for my experience, it is unavailable at this time. We are not able to wipe the mail account only. However, it is highly appreciated to submit feedback about this requirement.
Many features of current programs were designed and upgraded based on customer feedback. Again, thank you for working closely to improve our products and service.

DNS TXT Record Created But 365 Wont Verify
Hi There,
I got the domain registar to add a TXT file, I can do a DNS Lookup and can see the TXT record.
The dns lookup shows the TXT file in the DNS records for the domain as the following as I expected:
mydomain.com* TXT MS=ms36890328 3600s
*this being the domain im trying to connect to, (didnt want to publish this directly on here)
However I cant get the verify to work, weirdly it displays the DNS look up error check DNS TXT entry and make sure you have waited so many hours for the changes to be made, in all other browsers but IE (where it doesnt display anything just stops after a while no message).
Any reason why this is not working?
Thanks
Re: Clearing your dns cache
Re: Clearing your dns cache
I can't access the site with http://www.moretolovebridal.ie/Pages/default.aspx. Also according to who.is your name servers are NOT pointed at 365:
http://who.is/whois/moretolovebridal.ie/
nserver: ns9.dnsireland.com
nserver: ns10.dnsireland.com
So unless you add an A record or change nameservers your site will never work. My guess is the domain is still pointed at another host and that cgi page is the index page there. After you verify, ping <domain>.sharepoint.com and see if you can get the ip address to add as an A record.
FQDN for 1and1
This doesn't look like the right fully qualified domain name for http://www.tdhvac.com. Contact the company that hosts your website and ask them to confirm that this is the right address. |
Even though I enter the domain name given to me by 1and1 when I requested the FQDN (infong497.schlund.de)
What could be the problem here?
Re: DNS TXT Record Created But 365 Wont Verify
Re: DNS TXT Record Created But 365 Wont Verify
Yes, the @ would have been used in the dns entry by the domain registrar. But this shows as the domain name from doing a public dns lookup, using dns lookup tools such as you would use on network-tools.com or others.
Re: Outlook 2010 will not download email since password change
Thank you Imran for your suggestion.
I removed the only remaining credential associated with my email account/name in Credential Manager. (As mentioned in a previous post I had previously removed the 3 other ones that had appeared there, based on a suggested solution found elsewhere in this forum.)
After removing the credential as you suggested I tried again to launch Outlook 2010, first with the newest Outlook Connector Profile (the one mentioned/documented in my previous post that was succesful at connecting in the profile setup wizard, but would not connect when I launched Outlook.) but again was prompted again and again for my password as described before (see below), and after a dozen failed tries after entering my info, when I canceled Outlook gave me the notice below the pw prompt.
I then tried to open Outlook with my saved original Outlook Connector Profile, which opened, showing my old emails, etc. but still would not connect with the Office 365 Exchange Server despite entering my credentials and checking to remember repeatedly for 10 or 12 tries... So no luck with that so far.
Do you have further suggestions for actions following my deleting the password credentials in Credential Manager as you suggested?
As requested in my latest post before this one - Should I attempt to resolve my problem by resetting my password - again - using
the procedure described at the Office365help page Reset your administrator password...? (See my post above for more explanation.)
Is there any liklihood of resolving it that way or similar approach, or more likely for complications?
Looking forward to reply.
Thanks,
Ken
Internet Explorer 9 issues with O365
Something really strange is going on with my Win7 / O365 / IE9 set up. Here's what I'm seeing:
- My sign on screen for O365 tells me I'm using IE7 (see screen shot #1 below)
- I am using IE9 (see #2)
- When I attempt to download and then install a new IE9, it tells me I already have a later version installed???
- Over the last few weeks, each start up of my IE9 requires several "refreshes" to get any site up. This varies a great deal, however, sometimes my remebered sites come right up, other times it takes 1-4 refreshes to get them up. Same issue on new sites.
- I tried "Fix-it" without results
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Dan

Re: Moving web site from office live small business to Melbourne IT but cannot verify on Office 365
Pauline,
Please look at step/area 24 of Move your OLSB Domain Name to Office 365.
Don't use a full stop/period
Error message from login.microsoftonline.com
Hi Everyone,
I have tried to create a Microsoft 365 account to trial the P1 plan for small businesses. After I submitted my personal deets and ever since then when I try to log in I receive the following error message:
Sorry! We can't process your request right now.
You don’t have permission to access this page or perform this action.
|
Also I get the same message when I try to create a new account or make a purchase.
Any Community member that has experienced this or a Microsoft engineer that can lend a hand? Please advise.
Kind regards,
Razvan Spak
RE: Some emails are not coming through and are lost
Hi,
The problem has NOT been resolved. In my previous post I just meant that our forwarding has been set @domain.onmicrosoft.com and has always been that way. It has never been set to @domain.microsoftonline.com or any other domain, I just remembered the address wrong.
I went through the steps you suggested previously but could not generate any Non-Develiry Reports/error messages.
I any case I have now changed the MX records at my hosting provider to point to Office 365 to test whether the issue is in the mail forwarding or in Office 365. I'll report how it goes...
Re: Domain Name Not Working
No I had not completed this step (as you said teh Wizard doesn't mention it). I'v made the change, waiting for it to replicate out but it looks like this is what I as missing.
Email failing when sending to other email accounts/domains as part of P1 plan
I have a small business plan with multiple domains. These users can receive mail externally but users that send messages from one of my Office 365 domains fails.
Please advise.
For example:
email to
al@wendonyachts.com
don@dthubs.com
bruce@dthubs.com
from
dorothy@ahoholdings.com
fails with the following type of message:
The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

Re: Domain Verification
Cherry,
This has all been done. texasfunservices.com is connected to lync and exchange, www.texasfunservices.com is connected to sharepoint. However, both have already been verified. Since we are trying to point everything at www.texasfunservices.com we deleted its A record. I would like to know EXACTLY what needs to be put in the CNAME area since there is actually a space for ALIAS as well. CNAME would appear to be texasfunservices.sharepoint.com. What will the ALIAS be?
Re: Domain Name Not Working
You know that this problem of the Wizard not telling you to change the default website address has been like that for more then 7 months. Does ANYONE fix it? No, they MicroSoFT (MSFT) doesn't seem to care.
Very poor service and I am not the only one saying that: Is Office 365 service that bad?
Re: Internet Explorer 9 issues with O365
Hello Dan,
I would like to confirm that which Office 365 subscription you are using.
From your screenshot, I see there saying “Get ready for the next generation of Office 365” “which doesn’t support the next major update to Office 365”, while you post the thread in Office 365 for small business administration section.
You can reset your Internet Explorer by following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 , and try again.
For your reference:

Re: Internet Explorer 9 issues with O365
Cherry:
Thanks for your response!
My subscription is for "Microsoft Office 365 (Plan P1)".
I have done the reset on IE9, but mey screenshots still remain exactly as in my original email.
Am I in the correct forum for this problem?
Dan
