Re: Internet Explorer 9 issues with O365

Hi Dan,

There are some users have the similar upgrade notification that you reported when using O365 sign-in page. We are definitely looking into this.  It is currently being investigated and we will be updating you as soon as  possible. We really do appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

Starting in October of 2012 and extending into early 2013, we be rolling out a service update to existing online services customers that will add new, richer experiences to SharePoint Online and Office Web Apps. Internet Explorer 7 can't deliver these experiences. That’s why you will be able to see this message and inform you to upgrade IE Browser. So far, all the services are running smoothly even you are using IE7. If the Internet Explorer version you are using is above 7. You can ignore this message and continue to use your services on Office 365. If you are using IE7, it would be very nice that you can upgrade to latest version of Internet Explorer now.

Office 365 is ending support for Internet Explorer 7 after Oct 1, 2012. Further information can be seen in the article provided by Cherry.

Regards,
Reken Liu

Hi ahoscott,

I understand that users cannot send emails from one of your Office 365 domains.

Based on the description, I'd like to confirm the following things:
1. I noticed that there are two domains for your three recipients, are they all Office 365 domains?
2. Are these accounts or alias already in Office 365 tenant with the domain dthubs.com and wendonyachts.com?

Please check if all the recipients have been created in the 2 domains, and check if other users can send emails to these 3 email addresses scuccessfully.

Thanks,
Bourne Zhang

Hi Rusty,

Thanks for your post and timely update.

Actually, you need change the address only when you want another site to be your SharePoint website. It’s not a necessary step.
I checked your site http://www.downforceinc.com and found it can be visited. Do you just would like to have it visited by public? Do you need any other assistance?

I’ll keep monitoring your issue, thus if there’s any further confusion, please feel free to post it here.

Thanks,
Ella Huang

Thanks Alan but unfortunately the same thing happens - if I click on either of the 'download module' links a blank window briefly opens and then closes itself almost straight away.  I've tried turning off Pop-up Blocker but it makes no difference.

Still stuck I'm afraid.....

Hi Pauline,

Our article about typing Host Name=@ is to make sure the domain could be verified. Sometimes it is unavailable by some domain registers or domain hosts. Based on this situation, I suggest you contact Melbourne IT support to help you create the correct record.

I believe it will be beneficial to others who encounter the similar issue if you could share the solution about your situation. If there is more assistance needed here, please feel free to post here.

Thanks,
Maggie Li

Pauline,

That @ by itself should work  but MelbourneIT has had problems with IE browsers, specially IE9.

--------------

It is best to use FireFox or Google's Chrome Browsers to perform this operation for IE9 has some formatting problems and sometimes there are problems with Adding TXT Records.

Pasted from www.builditon365.com/.../MoveOLSBdnTo365.aspx

---------------------

If you  have Firefox or Chrome, use them to set the TXT record.

If that doesn't work - follow Maggie's advice "Contact MelbourneIT"

Hi DerekW,

Before moving on, I’d like to confirm whether other users in your organization encounter this issue ? What’s the error information when you typed your password and sign in ?

I’d like you to check and make sure that the password you typed is right .  I see that you have reset the password, if the issue reoccurred , please post your update here.

Thanks,
Aaron Yuan

Hi Lisa,

Could you login to the Admin page successfully before this problem happened? Please make sure that you have logged out any other Microsoft accounts such as a Microsoft Live account, etc. Moreover, please try another browser to see if the same problem occurs.
